Absinthe History

I always wanted to know more about trusty old Absinthe the beverage of choice amongst crazy 18th century Parisienne poets but had been lazy in my attempts to discover more. There seems to be some controversy surrounding the exact origins of the drink with some claiming the ancient greeks and romans were big fans while others claiming it an entirely a french invention. Still there seems to be little doubt that Madame de Coulanges was responsible for the popularity of the drink after it supposedly cured her of an upset stomach. Plus the hallucinations were an added bonus. Still the internet is a wonderful resource and contains lots of wonderful information about Absinthe so read on and learn something fools.
