TV fun

Sure maybe there were too many TVs at CES, I dunno, I've never been there so feel free to pay for me to go next year. Well anyway, the wacky grew at gizmodo went around and turned off a bunch of TVs at CES with a TV-B-Gone remote control. Designed to do nothing but turn tvs off. Yeah it was childish, yes it caused some people some anguish as they tried to work out why their 82" quad HD tv wasn't working, but man it was funny.

Everyone likes a short story and this one explains without much embellishment precisely why airport security is a waste of time. I agree with a lot of what they've got to say, and the simple truth is that no system is flawless, and the system we have makes it ridiculously unpleasant to fly almost anywhere. This is entirely the wrong approach to security as confiscating water and stopping small sharp objects doesn't prevent hijacks any more than stationing Chuck Norris on every flight would. So get smart people and airlines and start complaining about the ridiculousness of the security measures we have.
