Jetpacks are cool again

Aaah, the 70s, everyone was dreaming of personal jetpacks powered by nothing more than 400 litres of petrol at 3c/litre. Sure you might only get 500m out of your fuel but it was so worth it.

Well, enter the 00s and all of a sudden petrol costs more than a night on the town including dinner and a show and your personal jetpack wasn't such a good idea. Well maybe it is and some crazy fool is still out there trying to create a working jetpack. Sure this one looks like it might almost work but can we afford mess that this will create of our already crowded airspace, oh think of the airlines someone, please.

Back again

Well its been months since I updated the blog, mainly because I've been lazy but also because of weddings, honeymoons and some stupidly busy work.

BTW Vietnam was awesome and I highly recommend that you all go there before it gets too touristy. At the moment there are still a lot of nice little places away from the major tourist trails that make for a relaxing and pleasant break from the frantic madness of modern life. Highly recommended are Hoi An and Phu Quoc, along with the amazing Ha long bay. Ha long bay is pretty over touristed, but you can find some amazing package deals to see the bay for a few days including food, accommodation, boats, kayaks, and whatever else you want to do.

Hanoi and Saigon are cool for a couple of days each, but nothing more I'd say. There's so much more interesting scenery, people and things outside of the cities. So get cracking before its too late.

Also remember your phrase book, because you are always going to want to find out if that chicken is genetically modified.
